After graduating from UCLA's documentary program at the School of Theater, Film & Television, I spent six months in Arusha, Tanzania volunteering with several organizations in the Kilimanjaro region and later, in several towns in Madagascar.

Elias is a ToughStuff entrepreneur in Ifaty, Madagascar and is currently renting out 20 lamps to surrounding villagers - making enough money to soon purchase even more for the entire village.
